A weeklong celebration of all things street art, POW! WOW! Hawaii has blended art, music and culture across the globe for twenty years. This past week, Pow! Wow!'s annual mothership festival took over Honolulu, Hawaii, to turn the island's urban center into a living art display.
Arguably the world's top showcase for street artists and their adoring fans, Honolulu's Kaka'ako neighborhood morphs into an open-air, public “gallery” each February, brimming with vibrant colors and striking shapes via beautiful, colorful murals. Founders Jasper Wong and Kamea Hadar’s nonprofit artist’s collective expands more and more every year; recent additions to the POW! WOW! festival family include editions in Taiwan, Tokyo, Worcester, Massachusetts, and San Jose, California.
Marvel at talented artists in action, enjoy toddlers enjoying the scene and take in a handful of stunning murals in our favorite shots from this past week.
