Just ahead of its 18th year as a festival power player,  Shambhala Music Festival released an exciting trailer that's laden with eye candy. Set to the tune of festival performers Camo & Krooked, scenes of enchanted wilderness are interwoven with glimpses of blissful dancing and stunning, cutting-edge stage production.

North America’s longest running electronic music and arts festival, this Canadian camping fest features headliners Kygo, Pretty Lights, Bonobo, Claude VonStroke and Skrillex among 300 other musicians in its 2015 lineup

Just as Burning Man becomes the fifth largest city in Nevada during the event, Shambhala becomes the largest city in the West Kootenays for the event's five-day duration. The festival also takes over a working farm, the Salmo River Ranch, where the producers own the land and infrastructure remains up year-round. You could visit any of Shamb's six stages in the middle of that oh-so-lovely Canadian winter and even without that summer stage "spice," they're still there to experience.

The festival's production is cutting edge for this very reason. Those six stages are permanent features of the land, each curated and independently run by their own respective stage directors. Artists are given creative license, and respected as the backbone of the event. Additional creative ownership is passed on to the fans, whose support brings the artists to the fest. To add another unique checkmark to the list, Shambhala does not accept any corporate sponsorship and at 18 years, is the longest running electronic music festival in North America.

Tickets are selling fast – get yours here before they're gone! Shambhala is August 7-10, 2015 in the Salmo River Valley of the Selkirk Mountains in Canada.

Are we there yet?
