In the wake of Fun Fun Fun Fest's 2016 end, another Austin festival with similar roots and vibes has stepped into place. Sound on Sound Fest is only coming into its second year, yet it's just dropped one of the more interesting lineups in America's overflowing 2017 festival season. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs will reunite at the fest for the first time since 2013, while Grizzly Bear, Iggy Pop, The Shins, Blood Orange, Pusha T, Washed Out, Kehlani, Vince Staples, Hot Chip (DJ set), Charles Bradley, Yelle, Real Estate and Taking Back Sunday have also joined the bill.

Texas is in the midst of a Renaissance when it comes to fresh festival offerings; Insomniac brought its medieval concept festival Middlelands  to the state earlier this summer, and now Sound on Sound will further carry the torch. Joining the festival's powerhouse lineup is a series of medieval games, a slate of comedians, and of course, on-site camping. This isn't just any on-site camping, though; festies will get to stay in Sherwood Forest (the other  Sherwood Forest), a bustling 23-acre village home to one of Texas' most prominent Renaissance fairs, Sherwood Forest Faire.

Sound on Sound Fest takes place in McDade, Texas from November 10-12, 2017, and tickets are available here
