New festivals are popping up everywhere these days, and our 2016 calendars are filling up quick. But one we're definitely making space for next summer? The Untz Festival , which is soon to be put on for the very first time in 2016 by our pals at TheUntz.com.

As stone cold experts in the field of EDM, you can expect cutting-edge, up-and-coming acts like Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla + Eve Olution, Kaminanda, Wick-It The Instigator, Mr. Bill, Illenium, Fractal, Siren, Said The Sky, Bass Physics, Marvel Years, Dynohunter, Yamn, Sugarbeats, Sixis, Lucid Vision, and Evanoff – and those are just the Phase 1 artists. It gets better, though. The Untz Festival is one hour from Yosemite Village, which means not only will the festival grounds be set in a world-renowned swath of wilderness, but you'll be in close proximity to Half Dome and Yosemite hiking, whitewater rafting, mountain climbing, and camping if you're looking to extend your trip. Seriously, do you need a better reason to come to California?

Further details are still in the planning stages, but we do know that The Untz Festival goes down June 2-4, 2016, and will also feature such activities as yoga and flow arts, an art gallery, live artist interview panels, and workshops that will include DJ and production how-tos from the pros. There will be on-site camping and late-night music.
