When you're Ultra Music Festival , one of the world's flagship electronic music events, how can you get even bigger? You create a unique concept stage that's basically its own festival within your megafest, of course! The RESISTANCE stage is just two years old, yet "has fast become known for producing some of the highest quality house and techno experiences around the world." Resistance's inaugural year saw the legendary Arcadia Spectacular spider descend upon Ultra Miami (hailing originally from the UK), and to the slightly terrified delight of thousands of dance music aficionados, the Spider will return this year.

Spectacular stages aside, a massive Phase 1 lineup has just been dropped for this year's Resistance experience, going down March 23-25, 2017 in Miami. Carl Cox, fresh off the end of his storied 10-year residency at Space Ibiza, has been named Resistance's Global Ambassador and will head up Friday and Saturday's lead slots at the Megastructure. Joining him there will be Joseph Capriati, Tale of Us, The Martinez Brothers, and Sasha & John Digweed (in their first stateside performance since 2010 ). Arcadia Spectacular – a massive stage made of recycled metal in the shape of a fire-spitting spider – will see Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Seth Troxler, Eats Everything, and Hot Since 82 perform atop the 65-foot-high metal arachnid.
