It's safe to say the UK does festivals differently than we do in America. Neither is better or worse than the other, but there's something about the vibes and the people UK festivals attract that lead to a distinct way of escaping the drudgery of daily life.

Wilderness Festival is an enchanting UK event that's as immersive as it is quintessentially British. Set in the vast Cornbury Park, where wide-open space with waterfalls, chestnut trees, and lakes abounds, the festival has an old-world feel to it from the start. In true UK festival fashion, the grounds are dotted with festival-goers in elaborate fancy dress, amidst cricket games, theatrical performances on makeshift stages, or on the myriad lakes in rowboats.

It is in this earthly kingdom that days are wiled away drifting from one sensory pleasure to the next. Indulge in yoga classes and sip chai lattes, attend seminars, films, and concerts, play a game of cricket, or try your hand at fly-fishing. For the more whimsically inclined: How about a blind-date boat ride, or a spin around the roller disco? If the idea of following-your-bliss has always appealed to you in theory, here is the perfect opportunity to put it into practice.

At night, the civilized vibe is shed. There's music (Robert Plant, The Flaming Lips, Glass Animals, and more play this year), of course, but also mass skinny-dipping sessions, adult-themed theatrical performances, and the Saturday night masquerade ball.

All that takes place at Wilderness is captured beautifully in the cinematic trailer above. Crafted by Deadbeat Films , the video itself feels like an escape, as it t takes the viewer across the festival grounds, from attraction to attraction, experience to experience. It won't take long to see why this exceptional UK festival is lauded as one of the world's most unique events.
