At last...a festival with lightsabers and lasers in equal supply. Celebrating its second outing this past February, the Les Dunes Electroniques Festival returned to the dunes of southern Tunisia to a crowd of cosmopolitan locals and adventurous Star Wars fans.

In a country plagued by political instability, not all were there for the Star Wars sand dunes backdrop. Many of the country's residents haven't had the chance to attend a festival of this size before, making Les Dunes an experience to journey for.

Unfortunately, some scheduled sets had to be jostled around and cancelled due to the North African desert's inclement weather. Even though Saharan weather may not always make partying in Anakin Skywalker's former home possible, the festival is figuring out its stride and will doubtless be a destination on Tunisia's music calendar in the future.
