We all find ourselves at a day club or two at least once during a Vegas trip. Dancing your hangover away and chilling poolside is practically mandatory – that's why EDC Week’s pool parties are a staple leading up the main festival event, where DJs (77 participating artists this year), all spinning at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas , play popular summer anthems at premier venues.

Wednesday, June 15

Start the week off with Markus Schulz at the Marquee Dayclub. Perhaps the most inexpensive dayclub event during EDC Week, Markus Schulz is the perfect kickoff pool party if you’re looking to save a bit of cash while dancing to his newest tracks from Watch the World (released April 29), including “In the Night” featuring Brooke Tomlinson and “Fears” featuring Kyau & Albert.

Thursday, June 16

Justin Blau, better known as 3LAU, gained recognition for mashing top charting songs in his early years. Now a frontrunner in EDM, 3LAU will showcase his house music chops in the opulent Liquid Pool at the Aria before mashing in front of tens of thousands of people at EDC Las Vegas.

Friday, June 17

Wet Republic is the perfect venue for Afrojack. His balanced mix of progressive synths and hardcore pitches, as heard in his newest single “Move to the Sound” with Laidback Luke and Hawkboy, is quite the idyllic accompaniment for pool party antics. We don’t expect a ton of new music from Afrojack, as his last album Forget the World was released two years ago, but Nick van de Wall always has a set list that hypes the crowd, especially with 2015’s “Summer Thing” to 2014’s “Turn Up the Speakers.”

Techno king Eric Prydz has always had a dedicated fan base, which can be attributed to the intense production that supplements his wistful music, which takes you back to the early years of electronic music. There’s something pure about Kaskade. Perhaps it’s his easy-to-sing-to, personable lyrics from songs like “We Don’t Stop,” or his uplifting house beats. Whatever it is, his magic formula attracts a cult-like following everywhere he goes. His Summer Lovin’ series at the Marquee has always been a successful venture, but this year he takes his EDC Week bash to Encore Beach Club at the Wynn. Bigger and better, this summer pool party will make dancing in the desert heat look and feel easy.

Zeds Dead and Adventure Club’s back-to-back set is sure to pump up Drai’s rooftop club with dubstep, drum and bass, and deep/electro house. Drai’s Beachclub is newer and a bit smaller, but always packs a punch with artists that attract large crowds for sold-out shows, like Eric Prydz, MAKJ, and DVBBS.

If you’ve ever been to Encore Beach Club, you know how insanely crazy it gets, thanks to the caliber of artists that make their way here (Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, Diplo, et al). French producer DJ Snake is an expert in hip-hop and electronic fusion, producing eclectic sounds that make you drop low in ways you never thought possible.
