The Virginia Festival Scene

Located smack dab (or pretty close to it) between Florida and New York, the Commonwealth of Virginia is where the North meets the South. While the Blue Ridge Mountains contribute to the majestic landscape of the western part of the state, the eastern side has sandy beaches and overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Just as Shenandoah National Park, the Arlington National Cemetery and Mount Vernon deserve a visit, so do the festivals in Virginia. Virginia Festivals, such as the Hampton Jazz Festival, which has hosted the likes of Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis, showcase the state’s rich culture.
