Frost Fest is a unique festival that celebrates the holiday season in a unique way. We bring all things snow and ice to the Piney Woods of East Texas! Come to Palestine to celebrate the season, like you can nowhere else! Frost Fest whisks visitors away to a winter wonderland filled with snowman building, historical tour of homes, live music and performances by local arts center students, Freeze Your Buns 5k, yummy hot cocoa & cookies from a local coffee shop, games, food trucks, and more! The festival is followed by the Christmas Parade of Lights where lighted floats and bands march through the streets to get you in the spirit of the Season. Watch as the historic Anderson County Courthouse comes alive with lights at Palestine's most beloved event. Visit with Santa in all his splendor seated in front of the lighted tree. What a beautiful picture! Parade begins at 7:00 p.m. All takes place in Palestine's Historic Main Street District. While you're in town don't forget to visit the Grinch in the old Texas Jailhouse and ride to the North Pole on the Texas State Railroad's Polar Express.
