Celebrated every year around January and February, the Lunar New Year Festival is a pan-Asian New Year celebration held in San Diego, CA. The event features thousands of firecrackers, dances, drums and various activities for the entire family to enjoy. Guests can participate in dancing, martial arts and painting or enjoy samples from a wide range of authentic Asian food.

The Lunar New Year Festival offers a fusion of Asian food stations, unique vendor booths, carnival rides, non-stop live entertainment (including lion dances, concerts and cultural performances) as well as the highly acclaimed “Cultural Village” featuring breathtaking artistic reconstructions of iconic sculptures, buildings and landscapes from across South East Asia. Celebrated for thousands of years in various countries around the world influenced by Chinese civilization, the Lunar New Year remains Vietnam’s most celebrated holiday. This Lunar New Year Festival observes the Year of the Rooster, an animal representing confidence, honesty courage and resourcefulness. With their social and energetic natures, Roosters are often the life of the party, ensuring this year's festival will be one to remember!
