Every year in February, the University of Chicago Folk Festival celebrates folk music from the U.S. and around the globe with three days of dancing, music and workshops. Concerts and performances take place in the evenings over the course of a weekend, with a variety of workshops available during the days. Workshops cover a wide range of topics including Scandinavian instruments and musical styles, playing the banjo, English country dance and singing in two and three-part harmony.
