Sorry, no festivals here.
As it turns out, there's more to Winter than chapped lips, bulky jackets and runny noses. All over the northern hemisphere, snow and ice sculpture artists from around the world come together to create mind-boggling art displays deserving of a celebration. Snow and ice festivals oftentimes turn their venues into fantastical winter wonderlands, giving us the chance to admire truly one-of-a-kind frozen masterpieces. Currently, the largest of these festivals is the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival, which takes place in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China every year.
