Finger Puppets Partied Hard at Lightning In a Bottle

A festival is only as strong as the sum of its weirdnesses and quirks. As playful environments where creative expression rules, ideally, festivals are full of bizarro, kitschy, lowbrow humor brought to life via totems, personalities, costumes and hairstyles. You know what else is weird when brought to life? Finger Hands

These little guys were EVERYWHERE at Lightning In a Bottle. Funny and freaky, the Fest300 team saw them right as we pulled in, and tracking one down with which to make new friends was an immediate priority. Done right, these delightfully weird little tchotchkes were also a fun way to get a little creepy.

And now, as if it wasn’t fun enough seeing the Temple Stage, the LIB grounds, or the new bridges from your own vantage point, one festival-goer went and made a video diary of his Finger Hand’s adventures. There’s even a cameo from the flying tent most of us saw taking a little field trip through the sky. (We think the most epic tent field trip ever was at Burning Man 2014).

There weren’t any downsides to these little toys. They didn’t block your view of the stage; they weren't a source of garbage; they’re funny and freaky and made everyone laugh. Great in theory, even greater in practice. We're probably not the only ones who ordered some for the real world when we got home... right??
