You’d never guess it, but Austria has one of the coolest EDM festivals in the world. Owned and operated by Austrian event production company Revolution Event GmbH, Electric Love Electronic Music Festival has been held every year in July since 2013. Tucked inside the teeny tiny town of Plainfeld, Austria—and with production that rivals the likes of Tomorrowland and Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC)—Electric Love is one to put on your bucket list for any EDM fan.
Over the course of three days, some 100,000 festival-goers descend into the Salzburgring, a motorsport race track nestled in the Salzkammergut lake district and surrounded by nature’s beauty. While Electric Love is known for its focus on electro, dubstep, and house, it still caters to every EDM lover. You’ll find many other subgenres of electronic music, including trance, techno, and deep house. According to EMF Magazine, Electric Love is "Austria’s leading electronic music festival."
This year, Steve Aoki, Adam Beyer, Afrojack, Alesso, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Jack Ü, Kaskade, and tons more of the biggest names in dance music kept the festival lit all weekend long.
