Just like the vast slew of ladies who breathed sighs of relief when Carrie Bradshaw famously declared "Shopping is my cardio," a new UK study that came out this week is sure to have festies feeling that same sense of validation.

According to DIYmag.com, a tech company called Withings conducted research examining how many miles average festies walk at festivals and how many calories we burn each day dancing and adventuring.

Turns out, despite the fact that we all gorge on Spicy Pie, (expensive) cheap beer, and God knows what else during fests, the average person burns about 3,000 calories each day at a festival, and about 9,000 calories across an entire festival weekend. That rings true for us, as well; at this year's Lightning In a Bottle , we regularly walked about 10 miles (in the hot sun) on the fest grounds just to take in all the sights and sounds each day – and that was nothing compared to traversing the infamous ravines in 2014 just to make it to the Woogie Stage and back. For us festies – fittingly – festivals are our cardio!

In the UK, Withings found that Glastonbury is, unsurprisingly, the most calorie-burning fest (must be all that mud attendees have to trudge through), followed by V Festival and Reading Festival. See the full list below – though we can't help but wonder which U.S. festival burns the most calories! For now, let us revel in the fact that science has proven that festivaling can be good for not only our minds and spirits, but potentially for our bodies too.

Glastonbury – 3,400 calories burnt per day /5.1 miles per person
V Festival –3,100 calories burnt per day /4.6 miles per person
Reading Festival – 3,000 calories burnt per day /4.7 miles per person
T in the Park – 3,000 calories burnt per day /4.5 miles per person
Leeds Festival – 2,900 calories burnt per day/4.6 miles per person
Creamfields – 2,800 calories burnt per day /4.2 miles per person
Isle of Wight Festival – 2,700 calories burnt per day /4 miles per person
Bestival – 2,600 calories burnt per day /4 miles per person
Lovebox – 2,500 calories burnt per day/3.1 miles per person
T4 On The Beach – 2,300 calories burnt per day/ 2.9 miles per person
