It's late in the summer festival season but that doesn't mean festival grounds across the world have fallen silent just yet. As people around the world gear up for Burning Man, Kumbh Mela continues its month-long run in India, the Mad Decent Block Party tour is taking the country by storm, and a last-minute headliner replacement caught Los Angeles' FYF by surprise.

1. Kanye Replaces Frank Ocean as FYF Headliner; Rihanna Makes a Surprise Appearance

A mere 18 hours before the festival was slated to begin, it was announced that the enigmatic Frank Ocean was to be replaced as the Saturday night headliner by Kanye West. No one knew what to expect, but Kanye came and delivered. He's not a hip-hop superstar for no reason. Even from this video, you can FEEL the energy in the LA Sports Arena, and if West's star wattage wasn't enough for you, BadGalRiri Rihanna sealed the deal by showing up to accompany West in a powerful rendition of "FourFive Seconds," a song the two initially recorded with Paul McCartney.

2. Mad Decent Releases Footage from First Leg of Block Party Tour

Mad Decent Block Party kicked off a month ago in Atlanta, GA, and as we reach the end of summer, they've got a fire that's nowhere close to being snuffed out. With at least a month to go before the end, the tour has made its way from east to west, with shows featuring Keys N'Krates, Dirtybird Records' Shiba San, Major Lazer, Die Antwoord, Yellow Claw, Vic Mensa, Gent Safari, Skrillex and more.

3. Ellie Goulding Headlines Pukkelpop

The delightful Ellie Goulding took the stage in the humid heat at Pukkelpop, Belgium's second-largest festival (behind Rock Werchter ) on Friday. Joining her on the festival bill were Tame Impala, Alt-J, Four Tet, Netsky, Kygo, Paolo Nutini, Odesza, The Offspring and more.  In addition to "Love Me Like You Do," she brought her bubbly charm and powerful pipes to deliver hits like "Anything Could Happen," "Lights," and "Starry Eyed."

4. Skrillex on the Village Stage at Shambhala (Honorable Mention!)

Shambhala went down weekend before last, but we love you guys and we'd be remiss to not share this epic video of him tearing it up on Shambhala's Village Stage last weekend at the Salmo River Ranch. His 90-minute set started after midnight and had the crowd lit. up.
