First it was sunny, then rainy, then sunny again. Nevertheless, San Diego's summer festival vibes are already in full swing, as evidenced at CRSSD Festival's newest Spring edition. Shorts, tank tops, sunglasses, and heat permeated this beachside event, which raged for two days thanks to an ultra curated lineup featuring Odesza, Chet Faker, Tycho, Gorgon City, Jamie Jones, Claude VonStroke, and many more.
With so many American music festivals aiming to be the biggest and most extravagant, CRSSD has found success by dialing back the bombast and going for something more intimate and personal. Capitalizing on the explosion of EDM and festival culture by targeting a slightly older demographic (you gotta be 21+ to get in) that still wants to party, it has already found a comfortable niche after just one year and two weekend-long events.
We expect an avalanche of jealousy that's sure to come from the rest of the winter-shrouded Northern Hemisphere upon seeing the sun-filled gallery below.
