Over 60,000 people took a break from the current dystopia we're living in to explore another at the United Kingdom's BoomTown Fair last weekend. Each August, this temporary city pulls off eleven districts, each a stunning feat of production design and hosting completely different musical menus. Under each of those districts? Multiple stages await your discovery...
No one does a festival stage like BoomTown. Participants explored old-town replicas for wild theatrics from more than sixty stages, performance artists, rave lairs, treehouse parties, even a luxury spa. Ska, punk and ska-punk fans spent the week in " Chinatown ," " Dstrkt5" served up bass music in all incarnations, and actors roamed and roleplayed their way through the "Town Center," "Wild West," and "Barrio Loco."
Everyone went wild for four days and nights; a glimpse of the madness, from Bang Hai Palace to Sector 6, lies below.
