In recent years, Asia, the world's most populous continent, has ramped up its festival game. Thailand, South Korea and Vietnam have all strengthened their footing in Asia's festival scene to join Japan's mainstay, the mainstream-yet-tastemaking Fuji Rock Festival . So named for its inaugural fest held at the base of Mt. Fuji, Japan's largest rock event has unveiled an all-star lineup ahead of its July 22-24, 2018, event.

In this first-round drop, Kendrick Lamar, N.E.R.D, Skrillex, Vampire Weekend, CHVRCHES, Jack Johnson, MGMT, Odesza, Years & Years, Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals, Carla Thomas, Greensky Bluegrass, Hothouse Flowers, tUnE-yArDs, James Bay, Superorganism and Western Caravan are officially set to rock the fest's twenty-first edition at Japan's Naeba Ski Resort this summer.
