This is shaping up to be quite the year for Lady Gaga; she's already performed at the Super Bowl 2017 halftime show and at the Grammys with Metallica. Now, it's been announced that she landed the coveted replacement spot for Beyoncé at this year's Coachella.

It was announced last week that, on doctors' orders, that Beyoncé would not headline Coachella in 2017, but would reclaim the honor at 2018's festival. Speculations as to who would take her spot have been flying ever since (even earlier today it seemed Daft Punk might be the chosen ones). Now Billboard reports that officials are finalizing plans to bring Gaga's enormous stage production to the India, California, festival for the Saturday headlining spot both weekends of the festival (April 15 and 22).

Billboard also reports that insiders say it was important to Coachella's organizers to choose another female headliner. A female artist has not headlined Coachella since Bjork graced the stage in 2007.

Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar will join Lady Gaga as Coachella 2017's headliners. The festival runs April 14-16 and April 21-23.
