Detroit is more than just automobiles and Motown. It is the birthplace of techno, and we are indebted to them for its contribution to electronic music. Luckily, we can make an annual pilgrimage to Movement Detroit to celebrate where it all began as a hotbed for innovation in electronic music.

Movement today boasts a stellar lineup of world famous DJs alongside an organic homegrown salute to the local artists of Detroit. With over 107,000 people attending the 2013 festival, it is a dance music behemoth, and a place of discovery and inspiration that incorporates an interactive technology center featuring the hottest gadgets and local artworks.

This is Phase 1 of the lineup, so there's more to come. The fest is May 23-25 in Detroit, MI and tickets are available here.
