The music was tight, the sun was high and the vibes were right at Northern Nights Music Festival this year, just outside Mendocino, CA along the South Eel Fork River. Headliners this year included, but it's clear that this is a festival that gets it right when it comes to the experience. Griz, Amon Tobin, Gorgon City, Lafa Taylor, Fort Knox Five ft. QDup, Claptone Immortal Live, The Knocks, and much more rocked the festival's four stages which, as you probably guessed, includes "The River Stage" - right on the river.

As you can see below, attendees didn't need to be told twice to chill and let the good times roll. Costumes, face paint, and nature-inspired ensembles abound. The shady redwoods provide a chilled respite from the heavy bass lines of the DJ sets. Yoga classes are offered daily, in addition to wellness workshops. There is also a heavy emphasis on artistic expression, with artists invited to create by drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings and various art galleries exhibiting alternative and locally-inspired art. We're already looking forward to Northern Nights 2017.
