The first time Primavera Sound turned up the volume, in April 2001, it had four stages and 19 artists in the heart of Barcelona, Spain. Fast forward to 2018, and the festival boasts fourteen stages and over 100 artists, and occurs in Barcelona and Portugal. Over the years it's become one of the most anticipated festival lineups because of its sheer enormity and breadth; it always includes anyone who's anyone making waves in music today.

Case in point? The 2018 lineup, which was just announced this morning. You want rock? They've got the War on Drugs, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Breeders, Arctic Monkeys, Oblivians, and more. It's hip-hop you like? Try Migos, A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator, or Vince Staples. If it's pop you love, check out HAIM, Lorde, Belle & Sebastian, or Lykke Li. For electronic music, you'll love Seth Troxler, Arca, Four Tet, and Mount Kimbie. If you thrive on bizarre masterminds and curveball bookings, don't miss Björk, Starcrawler, Fever Ray, or Jane Birkin with the Gainsbourg Symphonic, and Spiritualized, performing with an orchestra and choir. There are even metal acts like Watain, Sumac, and Zeal & Ardor.

These names barely scratch the surface. Check out all the rest below!
