For the rest of us festival-goers and music lovers not a breath away from the Arctic Circle, these Secret Solstice photos are just plain trippy. Why? Because it's nearly impossible to tell whether they were taken at 9 am or at the stroke of midnight. While that may sound tiring to some, we think it only adds to the Icelandic festival's power to immerse its attendees in its incredible blend of fire musical performances and intimate ways to explore its host country's unique natural features.
From the main stage, where headliners like Chaka Khan, Foo Fighters, The Prodigy, Rick Ross, Big Sean, Anderson .Paak, and many more dazzled audiences, to side adventures like raving inside an ancient glacier, watching acoustic performances in a 5,000-year-old lava tunnel, or a boat party on the North Atlantic Ocean, Secret Solstice does an amazing job enveloping its attendees, many of whom have traveled so far from their homes, in Iceland's extreme beauty – right down to planning its event during the brightest season of the year.
Scroll on for your fellow far-flung festies partying it up under the midnight sun.
