So, last night at SXSW, Lady Gaga sang as she was "roasted" on a spit while a scantily clad woman drank a neon concoction onstage at Stubb's BBQ (where the event was held). Then, the two climbed on top of a mechanical pig-piano branded with Lady Gaga's initials and straddled each other while Gaga's cohort forcibly vomited the neon liquid all over her.

You know, the usual.

Today in her keynote, Lady Gaga discussed the graphic performance, touching on the main aspects of SXSW, but with all the Gaga flourish, flair and no-BS attitude that she's known for...while wearing the latest in Hefty bag couture.

On tech: "Nobody is going to remember what you tweeted, what people are going to remember are those magical moments you create." (Like puking neon paint onto a mega-watt pop star, for instance.)

On being an artist: "I talk a lot about creative rebellion, what are we telling our artists?"

On sponsorship: "The truth is without sponsorship, we won't have any artists in Austin because record companies have no fucking money." Ain't that the truth. And leave it to Gaga to take that sponsorship and turn it into performance art of the weirdest kind...in the best way possible.

On the vanity of musicians in social media: "Stop taking selfies, what makes a career sustainable is heart, and you are willing to suffer because you love the music."
