Although Art Basel Miami doesn't officially start until tomorrow, December 5, some clear trends are already starting to emerge. Artist Hector Jesus Arencibia tipped us off to some of this year's hottest topics.

YARN BOMBING

Crocheting isn't just for Grandma anymore. These large-scale installations range from cozy forklifts to afghan mermaids to...we don't even know what. All pieces by New York City artist Olek.

WOMEN ON THE WALLS

We're down with anything that promotes female equality in the art world, particularly when it comes to street art. Here's a smattering of Women on the Walls pieces, all part of the Wynwood Walls project, including pieces by Maya Hayuk, Miss Van, Lady Pink and Fafi.

NEON

Miami has long been a city of neon, particularly given its Art Deco roots.

POP-UP PIANO MIAMI

Painted pianos for a good cause! The charity serves "to empower individuals to use music and art as a means to advance social responsibility in their communities." Music to our ears.
