With an ethos built upon six pillars – Arts, Music, Farm to Feasts, Health & Wellness, Talks & Workshops and Natural Adventures – it is a multi-sensory experience hailed as the "socially-conscious, eco-friendly version of Coachella," and unfolds across the fields of the Siam Country Club of Pattaya, in the southern Chonburi Province.
Sure, there is excellent music. This past weekend (the fest took place February 16-19), a diverse collection of talent had people dancing at each of the fest's four stages (one of which was made from rice and almost entirely edible!); Akimbo, Nicole Moudaber, Norman Jay MBE, Luna City Express, KMLN, Kate Simko & London Electric Orchestra, James What, DJ Zig Zach, At Adau, and other international acts joined home-country heroes like Dragon, DuckJ Trio, Bangkok New Quartet, All Thidsa Band, and Noxro for an unforgettable weekend of zesty jams.
But past the tunes, there are so many activities to be had and zones to explore. You can scarf down the culinary art from chefs at Wonder Feasts, learning how to belly dance in the Guavafruit zone, get a haircut at the barbershop, or learning about textile cultures and fabric dyeing traditions inside the Artisan Market. For the less hedonistically inclined who require a break from days on the lake and late nights in The Quarry, there is ground running with Team Farang, lots of workshop series, climbable structures and ping pong in The Playground, and Camp Wonder, with face painting and obstacle courses specifically for the kids.
Enjoy these sunny photos of Wonderfruit's glorious third year.
