For wine connoisseurs there's nothing like watching the years unfold on a vintage, knowing it's getting better and tastier with each passing day. For festival connoisseurs, it's startlingly similar; to watch a festival get better and better with each passing year is a beautiful thing. BottleRock Napa is one such example of a festival growing into itself in a delightful way.
During the festival's six years, the Napa Valley fest has found an audience in attendees who like their rock, pop, hip-hop, and dance music paired with every festival-going gourmand's dream: some of the finest wines, craft beers, and next-level food in the world. Year after year, the fest's musical lineups have come to rival those of much larger festivals, with this year's pedigree coming from superstars like Bruno Mars, Snoop Dogg, Halsey, The Killers, Chainsmokers, Muse, Incubus, Earth, Wind & Fire, Billy Idol, and Phantogram. And the genius of its unique mashup stage known as Williams-Sonoma Culinary Stage, where a mish-mash of celebrity chefs, big-name musical talent and other celebrities comes together in a highly unorthodox – yet strangely entertaining – cooking demo atmosphere has been proven time and again to be a bona fide hit, and the crowds swarming each "performance" seem to swell more and more each year. There was even a Guinness World Record set at the Culinary Stage this year, when Snoop Dogg, Warren G and famed Top Chef winner Michael Voltaggio created the world’s largest vat of gin and juice, in honor of the rapper's banger hit of the same name.
