When it comes to the month of May, you don’t have to dig very deep to find something to celebrate. It’s the month of Cinco de Mayo. Of course, if you’re going to raise your margarita glass and propose a toast to the Mexican holiday, make sure you know what it’s about. It’s not Mexican Independence Day—that’s Sept. 16. May is also the month of Mother’s Day. So once you’ve finally found mom that perfect present, prepare yourself for the many festivals in May. Hopefully, as the saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers,” the weather’s warm, and the grass is lush for sitting upon—nature’s favorite festival seat.
