Fest300 Joins the Everfest Family

Everfest acquires Fest300

Today is an especially special day.

We’re very excited to share some big news with our beautiful community of festie fans. This morning, we officially announced that festival-focused digital magazine, Fest300, will be joining the Everfest family.

Since Everfest’s inception in March 2015, our tight-knit team has worked endlessly to create a website that facilitates your discovery of the world’s celebrations. Today, we have a community of 15,000 festivals and nearly 3 million monthly fans who seek them. We feel there’s no better way to further our mission than by welcoming Fest300’s powerful editorial voice to our community.

For the past three years, Fest300’s inspirational storytelling, breathtaking photos and lust for travel have carved out a space for cultural curiosity in the festival community. Moving forward, the digital magazine will continue its annual awards for the world’s 300 best festivals under Everfest’s domain.

We are thrilled to welcome Fest300’s founder and editor-in-chief, Chip Conley, who will be joining the leadership team as Chief Strategy Officer on a part-time capacity. Alongside his work with Fest300, Conley is Airbnb’s Head of Global Hospitality and Strategy, and founder and former CEO of Joie de Vivre Hotels. He also has a seat on the Board of Directors of Burning Man.

Along with Chip, we are excited to welcome two of his core team members to our family. Although they’ll remain in San Francisco, we’re looking forward to bringing on Eamon Armstrong, Fest300’s Creative Director, as well as Laura Mason, the site’s Managing Editor. Between Eamon’s social wizardry and Laura’s gift for storytelling, the two festival lovers are sure to be powerful assets to the Everfest team.

“Chip and the Fest300 team carry a unique gravitas in the festival community and are intimately connected with the greater movement. This acquisition accelerates the growth of our worldwide community of people who value offline festival experiences,” says Jay Manickam, co-founder and Co-CEO of Everfest. “Together we will deliver more of what our FestClub community desires.”

FestClub, Everfest’s newest product offering, is the world’s first celebration club where fans receive exclusive experiences, upgrades and discounts at hundreds of festivals worldwide. Under the umbrella of Everfest, Fest300 will join in working with festival partners to scale these experiential offerings. FestClub launches in early 2017.

“No matter how digital we become, our desire to get together offline in celebration blossoms,” muses Paul Cross, co-founder and Co-CEO of Everfest. “We have built the global festival experience engine and Fest300 is documenting all the wonder, it’s perfect alignment.”

We can’t wait to see what’s in store for our newly expanded festival community, and we hope you’ll join us on this exciting adventure. Stay tuned, and as always, fest on!
