Huichica West: The winery is located at 2000 Denmark St Sonoma, CA, 45 miles north of San Francisco in the town of Sonoma, approximately three miles from the Sonoma Plaza. You’ll find it just off CA-12, but parking is limited at the winery. Take a rideshare or carpool with friends and family if possible.
Huichica East: Chaseholm Farm is the site for Huichica East, located at 115 Chase Rd, Pine Plains, NY 12567. Located 25 miles south of Hudson, New York, the farm is outside the town of Pine Plains and is accessible by train or car. It is a pastoral, 300-acre grass-based dairy operated by third generation farmer Sarah Chase. It produces milk products for direct sale and to supply the artisanal Chaseholm Farm Creamery, operated by Sarah’s brother Rory, as well as organically farmed grass-fed beef and pork.
Huichica West: The organizers suggest Airbnb for affordability and flexibility. As for hotels, check out: the Sonoma Valley Inn, El Pueblo Inn, Vineyard Inn, El Dorado Hotel, MacArthur Place, Inn at Sonoma and The Lodge. If you want to camp, the closest campground is at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park about 20 miles away.
Huichica East: If you’re up for camping, pop up a tent or bring your RV to camp in one of Chaseholm Farm’s (patty-free) pastures, complete with restrooms. Please note, showers are not available. Food and drinks are welcome in the campground, but cannot be brought into the festival, as tasty eats and libations will be for sale. Campfires are not permitted in the campgrounds, but feel free to bring a camping stove for cooking. See camping pass prices here. If you’d rather not camp, stay at the Inn at Pine Plains, just down the road from Chaseholm Farm. Mention you are attending Huichica for a special offer.
If you don’t have ticket but would like to attend the festival, volunteer for a four-hour shift and you’ll receive a festival pass, complimentary parking and a glass of wine. Not a bad deal! You can sign up here.
